Sweden has officially joined the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking

Published Feb 25, 2019

In June 2018 Sweden announced its support for the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking   (EuroHPC JU) by signing the EuroHPC Declaration. The aim of the joint undertaking is to pool EU and national high performance computing resources to build world-class supercomputing and data infrastructures in Europe. The EuroHPC JU was launched in the autumn of 2018, however - due to the government situation in Sweden at that time - Sweden was unable to confirm its membership.

On 5 February 2019, having received a positive vote from the national Parliament, Sweden became the 26th European country to officially participate in the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking.
