PRACE-2IP WP8 F2F Workshop
March 6-8 2013, Bologna, Italy
From 6-8 March 2013, the PRACE-2IP WP8 F2F Workshop will be held at CINECA in Bologna, Italy.
The workshop, organized in the framework of the PRACE-2IP project, is intended to gather HPC experts and scientists together in order to explore the hardware/software solutions available in the next 2 to 5 years, and to assess the requirements of the scientific community in terms of the computing power and numerical solutions needed to face the ultimate scientific challenges.
"Hot" topics - like efficient programming and usage of accelerators, and big data challenges - will be the focus of the meeting. During the workshop, the results achieved by WorkPackage 8 in redesigning codes for the effective exploitation of novel HPC systems will be presented and discussed. Such outcomes will be available to the scientific community.
