Prerequisites

You will be expected to have a background in the following topics.

Mathematics

Basic knowledge in mathematical analysis and linear algebra is required.

Programming

The course assumes you have a basic knowledge of programming in a language like Fortran, C or C++. You should feel familiar enough in one of these languages to write and execute programs written in them. You should also have a basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux.

Refresh your skills if needed

It is recommended that you look at these UNIX tutorials and study them if you need to refresh your UNIX/Linux skills. The material in them gives an overview of what you are expected to know before attending this course.
