DNS – Design and Numerical Simulations

DNS – Design and Numerical Simulations  – is a company specializing in consulting and services involving Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for process, energy, automotive, and other industries.

Through computer simulations based on scientific knowledge that allow for a greater understanding of the physical phenomena involved, DNS actively supports companies with developing or improving their engineering projects, and thus providing significant savings for them.

DNS's mission is to provide high-level and reliable consulting services when assisting their clients with fast, efficient, and low-cost solutions, thanks to the use of a sophisticated suite of open-source software.

The Dardel system at PDC enables DNS to use high-level technology, like e.g. utilizing genetic algorithms to manage open-source CFD simulations. Running detailed CFD simulations to optimise design and workflow aspects is more efficient than, for example, building multiple physical models and evaluating them in expensive experiments.
