Job opening at NeIC: Bio- and Medical Sciences Area Coordinator

The Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration (NeIC) is seeking a Bio- and Medical Sciences Area Coordinator.

The BMS Area Coordinator will participate in the NeIC Executive Team, which will have the primary responsibility for management of NeIC. The Executive Team will be chaired by the NeIC Director. The Area Coordinator will generally have 50% or more of his/her time committed to NeIC, the remaining time being committed to his/her home institution in one of the Nordic countries. NeIC will fund salary and overheads for the committed time, based on agreement with the home institution.

The ideal candidate is a technical expert with deep knowledge of the e-Infrastructure needs of users from the BMS area, and with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Candidates will be expected to have experience of managing projects, relevant higher education and broad knowledge of technologies used in e-Infrastructures for research. It is expected that the candidate is employed at a national e-Infrastructure organization, one of its collaborating institutions or an academic institution. Candidates must have a good command of English (both written and spoken). The position entails a wide variety of interesting tasks and involves extensive contact with research groups and specialist communities in the Nordic countries and the EU. Considerable travelling may be required.
