Management positions

  • The director and deputy director of PDC manage the centre and are usually also involved in research and some project management.
  • The head of application experts at PDC manages the application experts and first-line support personnel, and is usually also an application expert and may be involved in research. (First-line support staff and application experts help PDC users to solve problems, such as issues with logging in or using applications or optimizing code.)
  • The head of system experts at PDC is a system administrator and manages the team of system administrators/experts. (They are responsible for keeping the computing and data storage systems at PDC functioning effectively and helping PDC users with more complex issues related to using the PDC systems.)

Administrative positions

Following a rearrangement within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at KTH, the people who perform purely administrative tasks for PDC are essentially employed centrally by EECS, rather than working specifically for PDC.
