Henric Zazzi

Dr. Henric Zazzi is a bioinformatician with an academic and industry background. He obtained his Ph.D. in molecular biology from the Karolinska Institute, where he contributed to the Human Genome Project and made significant contributions to the field through his research on gene sequencing and deletion mutagenesis. Following his doctoral studies, Henric pursued a career at AstraZeneca. During his time at AstraZeneca, he served as a bioinformatician, playing a key role in the development of genetic databases and statistical algorithms. Henric’s work involved leveraging bioinformatics tools and computational approaches to analyze and interpret large-scale genomic data, contributing to advancements in drug discovery and development.

With his understanding of bioinformatics, Henric bridged the gap between molecular biology and computational analysis. His expertise spans various areas, including genomic data analysis, algorithm development, data integration, software development and database management. Henric currently serves as the Head of the Application Expert Group at PDC, which provides advanced high-performance computing (HPC) support in different scientific fields.
