Helmholtz GPU Hackathon 2021: 15 & 22-24 March 2021 (online)

Published Jan 14, 2021

GPU Hackathons are 4-5 day intensive hands-on events designed to help computational scientists port their applications to GPUs using libraries, OpenACC, CUDA and other tools by pairing participants with dedicated mentors experienced in GPU programming and development. Representing distinguished scholars and preeminent institutions around the world, these teams of mentors and attendees work together to realize performance gains and speedups by taking advantage of parallel programming on GPUs.

Applications are now open for research teams to participate in the online Helmholtz GPU Hackathon 2021 on 15 & 22-24 March 2021.

Teams will be selected in a competitive procedure based on their applications. Each team that is accepted for this hackathon will be assigned to a virtual breakout room to work with mentors on their codes and will present reports (SCRUMS) on their progress to all participants in the main virtual meeting space daily. The hackathon will be held over four full days, with the starting and ending times to be determined by each of the teams and their mentors.
