Part-time support engineer job at PDC - closing 27 Feb 2017

PDC is the leading Swedish supercomputing centre hosted by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. It operates state-of-the-art computational and storage resources. Amongst these systems is the petascale supercomputer Beskow, which is a CRAY XC40 that is currently the largest academic supercomputer in the Nordic countries.

PDC is looking for a student to work in the PDC support group and help with several of the following tasks during the spring of 2017 (starting as soon as possible and working until June with the possibility of the position being extended):

  • answering basic support questions from the PDC's users,
  • participating in PDC's user support team,
  • communicating with PDC's systems and application experts to obtain information to assist with more advanced questions from PDC's users,
  • writing and testing documentation for PDC's resources,
  • helping PDC system staff with everyday work, and
  • monitoring PDC resources.
