    • Basic and more advanced usage of clusters
    • Tips and tricks for using HPC more efficiently
  2. Jupyter Notebooks on the cluster
    • Effective and interactive visualization and post-processing
    • Running parallel analysis pipelines in Python
  3. Singularity containers
    • Everything you need to know about containers: how to build them, share them, and run them on HPC clusters
  4. Improving your code with ARM Forge
    • A tutorial in profiling and debugging HPC applications at scale

Format

Most of the lessons will be interactive where short presentations and type-along demos alternate with hands-on exercises.

Who is it for?

This workshop should be relevant for relatively new as well as more experienced HPC users who want to learn new powerful tools for their work. Basic experience with working in a terminal environment is recommended, but no expertise is needed.

Requirements

All participants need to have PDC accounts to participate in the workshop. If you do not already have a PDC account, please apply for one as early as possible - for instructions on how to do so, please visit this page.

Participants are also expected to bring a laptop to the workshop. If you already have an eduroam account for wireless internet access that will be helpful; if you do not have an eduroam account and need guest access to wifi for the duration of the course, please contact the organizer..
