6th PDC-SeRC seminar: "Scalable simulation of cortical associative memory"

Welcome to the sixth PDC-SeRC seminar! PDC and SeRC are hosting a series of seminars about e-Science where SeRC members and other interested researchers and students can meet to exchange ideas and listen to inspiring e-Science presentations by outstanding researchers.

Time: Thu 2018-03-15 12.00 - 13.00

Location: SeRC meeting room at PDC, 5th floor Teknikringen 14, KTH

Participating: Anders Lansner, Department of Computational Science and Technology, KTH

The sixth seminar in this series, "Scalable simulation of cortical associative memory" by Dr. Anders Lansner, will be held on the 15th of March from 12:00-13:00 in the SeRC meeting room at PDC. Anders is a professor at the Department of Computational Science and Technology, KTH, and also at Stockholm University.

The talk will be about how we build, simulate, and visualize output from large-scale neural network models of the human cortex and its memory systems. It will also touch on the scalability of these models and how large we need machines/systems to be in order to simulate the full human brain.

Registration

A light lunch will be provided, but please register to ensure that enough food can be ordered: goo.gl/forms/8b8qs2UnMQXGmMwB2 .
