At the moment, we have two servers with AMD/ATI graphics cards, and one with nVidia hardware. If you are interested in GPU programming, and stream programming as it exists today, send us an e-mail, and we can set up test accounts.
The AMD machines each have a quad-core AMD processor and 4 gigabytes of memory. One of them has two Radeon 4870 X2, and a peak performace of close to 5Tflops. The other has two FireStream 9170 and a peak performace of about 1Tflops. The nVidia box has a dual-core Intel processor and 1 gigabytes of memory. The graphics hardware is a GeForce 8800GTX, with a peak performance of about 300Gflops. In addition, we also have two workstations with nVidia hardware, that are used for production molecular dynamics simulations. The GPU port of our code achieves 30 times the performance of a single cpu core, on a graphics card today available for $100. |
