Restricted software
Software that PDC provides for users who already have their own license, or collaborations sharing licenses' costs.
- Abaqus
- Please note that ABAQUS is a licensed software and only users with a valid license may use this software.
- Comsol
- Users from KTH may use Comsol at PDC through KTH's site license for Comsol.
- Edge
- Edge is a CFD flow solver for unstructured grids of arbitrary elements. Edge is available as a complete source package, subject to the FOI license agreement.
- Fire
- Commercial CFD software from AVL. Users must supply their own license if they wish to use this software at PDC.
- Fluent
- Ansys Fluent at PDC is restricted to users participating in the buying the license for this software. The group shares a license server managed by PDC for simulations with the Fluent software. The license is an academic type license and is thus restricted to educational and research purposes. Any commercial usage of the license is not allowed. The group also shares experience of using Fluent through a mailing list.
- Matlab
- MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a numerical computing environment and fourth-generation programming language. Developed by MathWorks, MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C++, Java, and Fortran.
- PowerFLOW
- Commercial CFD software. Users must supply their own license if they wish to use this software at PDC.
- StarCD
- StarCD is a commerical CFD code. Users must supply their own license to use StarCD at PDC.
- VASP
- VASP is a package for performing ab-initio quantum-mechanical molecular dynamics (MD) using pseudopotentials and a plane wave basis set. Here are some notes on how to use VASP at PDC.
