System overview
Description of the hardware and software for the MSHPC cluster at PDC.
Hardware
MSHPC is a distributed memory computer form Dell consisting of 16 PowerEdge 1850 servers. Each node has two 3.4 GHz "Nocona" Intel Xeon processors with EM64T extensions and 8 GB of main memory. The nodes are connected through a high performance Infiniband network.

Software
The operating system of the MSHPC is Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008.
Application software
The MSHPC cluster has Matlab Distributed Computing Server and Comsol 4.1 installed.
