Projects
Research and development projects at PDC or that PDC participate in.
BalticGrid and BalticGrid-II
BalticGrid is an EU Integrated Infrastructure Inititive to build and operate a Grid infrastructure in the Baltic states and Belarus. The project is coordinated by KTH PDC. The project started on the 1 November 2005 and ends in April 2010.
ECCE on EGEE
The Extensible Computational Chemistry Environment (ECCE) developed by PNNL(http://ecce.emsl.pnl.gov), is a graphical environment for creating, submitting, monitoring and analyzing quantum chemistry calculations. The project under EGEE-III is to port ECCE to European grid environments.
SimSAC
SimSAC (Simulating Aircraft Stability And Control Characteristics for Use in Conceptual Design) is an EU project focused on enhancing the conceptual and early preliminary design processes for aircraft. The three-year project, which began in November 2006, is coordinated by Prof. Arthur Rizzi, KTH. PDC provides Web infrastructure for the project.
SWEGRID
SWEGRID is a computational grid consisting of 600 computers distributed in the form of six 100 node clusters distributed with one cluster at each of six sites throughout Sweden. The project commenced in 2003 and has been funded by the KA Wallenberg foundation <http://wallenberg.org/kaw/> and SNIC.
